Confidentiality-Preserving Security Assurance

Confidentiality-preserving Security Assurance (CASCAde) investigates how we can attest to the security of a system, while retaining confidentiality.

The project is supported by the European Research Council (ERC) under grant agreement no. 716980. In parts this project builds upon our earlier work in the EU H2020 project PRIvacy and Security MAintaining services in the CLOUD (PRISMACLOUD), GA no. 644962.

The project also contributes to the UK Research Institute in Sociotechnical Cyber Security (RISCS), and has benefited from RISCS support to co-fund evidence-based methods workshops and contributions.

CASCAde is one of the featured projects of Newcastle University Cyber Security & Resilience, the Newcastle Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR). Its researchers are situated in the School of Computing, in the Secure and Resilient Systems (SRS) group.

CASCAde pursues research interests in applied cryptography, systems security, evidence-based methods and human factors of security and privacy.
